Solicit applications for funding from Club Foundation (usually totaling $10,000-$15,000 annually) and evaluate applications received. Meets about four times annually.
--Prepares mailing in the fall re grant application process (deadline-Mar. 1)
--Evaluates applications
--Does site visitations prior to final recommendation
--Propose for Board approval, list of recipients and amounts
--Arrange for presentation of checks
--Report to club as requested
--Oversees Young Heroes Award:
-----Contact local Police and Fire Departments for possible awardees
-----Decide amount of award ($250-$500) for Board approval
-----Arrange for presentation of award (plaque and Foundation check)
--Report to club as requested
